And your second quote by Starhawk reinforces for me exactly why the structure of Alcoholics Anonymous works so well and has been working since the 1930s. It is an organisation with a spiritual program that has no hierarchy whatsoever. Everyone is equal and all jobs rotate. It amazes even the longest sober people that a bunch of people with such diverse personalities can keep working so successfully together. It is truly wonderful. I will keep this quote, thank you.
