“In one of those stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night. And when your sorrow is comforted (time soothes all sorrows) you will be content that you have known me. You will always be my friend…I shall not leave you.”
― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince
“Aim for the moon. If you miss, you may hit a star.”
– W. Clement Stone
“Here is my secret. It’s quite simple: One sees clearly only with the heart. Anything essential is invisible to the eyes.”
― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince
Scattering
Every new
Moon
I curl up
In my
Curvaceous
Crescent
Encircled
By each
Starry night
Celestial dreams
Await me
There is no man
Here
I control
The ebb
And flow
Of the
Seas
I watch
Over your
Attempts
To comprehend
Me
To encapsulate
Into ode
Or song
It is difficult
When you
Haven’t
The language
Of the
Universe
Bemused
My laughter
Scatters
Stardust
Bisous,
Léa
Ahhh, what a delightful poem for a night-owl like me! Lea, this is simply great!
Thank you so much. It is always lovely to hear from you. I tend to burn the candle at both ends, I hate to go to sleep but am up with the sun… 🙂
bellissima, mille fois merci!
Sweet poem about La Luna, Lea… and I also love Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, thanks for the quotes! SB
Thank you. I am happy you enjoyed the poem. I have long enjoyed Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and now that I live in his homeland I am re-discoverying him as I read him in French. We do share a birthday and on that day, I re-read Le Petit Prince. 🙂
The sky here is much more accessible than where I lived in America. I am glad to be HOME!

How wonderful for you to feel so at home there in France…. you are very blessed.
I am indeed very fortunate that things have turned out this way.

The language of the Universe, eh? This is a topic of great interest to me. And a beautiful poem!
I do believe there is a universal language that can be heard, seen and felt. Thank you for your kind comment. I hope you to continue to enjoy future posts.
