Randall, this just maybe my all-time favorite post from you. It speaks to me on so many levels. Thank you.
“Standing on the precipice of a wilderness unknown. Alone. Resistance, both past and present, pushes from all sides.” I stare at the words written and wonder what it would feel like to walk along a razor’s edge, day-after-day, your existence always in the balance.
My room fills with the warm yellow hues of the evening sun inviting me for a walk, but I am paralyzed. Mystified by this invisible force of power used to manipulate people. Used without empathy. Used without acceptance of responsibility.

From the American Indians pushed around in the 19th century, to the American People pushed around outside the White House just a few months ago in the 21st century ~ use of force, power without responsibility.
I’ve come to realize while this is a beautiful world, rich in love and life, it is a beauty balanced by hardship for those not in power.

Thank you for sharing this excellent photo essay. There can’t be enough reminders of what is at stake in the upcoming election.
Everything is at stake for many of us, the choice is little choice indeed. Both candidates are firmly in the pockets of the corporations but we must keep in mind that the one in the office is criminally insane. I’m glad you enjoyed Randall’s post. I’ve been following him for years and it is one excellent post after another.
Thank you very much, Léa, and I had a great laugh with your comment “we must keep in mind that the one in the office is criminally insane” ~ yep, that just about says it all 🙂 It’s been great to connect like this over the years, cheers to a bright and meaningful future.
Despite the fact that I left when I did, I do still care what happens… but there haven’t been any surprises. I lived in NYC from 1974 – 1980 and despite being young, I recognize a snake when I see one and he was crawling out from under his rock. The crimes he has committed with the enabling support of the GOP and the DNC means that they all must be held accountable if the country is to even survive. Or like some bacteria, they will consume everything around them and when that is done, they must consume themselves. There are very few in this administration without a lot of blood on their hands.
Oh dear, that last sentence sounds like a farewell, I hope you will continue to share your enlightening posts for a long time to come. A votre santè.
That was a beautiful post, full of wisdom. Thanks for sharing, Lea, and introducing me to Randall. ❤
